Who we are
The Building Owners & Managers Association (BOMA) New Brunswick/Prince Edward Island is one of eleven federated locals that together form BOMA Canada, which represents over 3200 Canadian members in the industry and over 2.1 Billion square feet of office space. BOMA originated in the United States as an association dedicated to members of the commercial real estate industry, including owners and managers as well as those professionals providing goods and services to the industry. Since its origins in 1907, BOMA has grown and prospered, dedicating itself to establishing best practices and researching real estate topics that would be valuable to commercial real estate managers, operators and suppliers.
In growing, BOMA came to the realization that education was key to the development of the industry, thus the Building Owners & Managers Institute (BOMI) was born. BOMI is now responsible for the development and administration of educational curricula. They grant professional designations related to the commercial real estate industry, including the RPA and FMA designations.Heading 3 The Building Owners & Managers Association New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island.
