In addition to this webinar, we continue to support our membership in meeting this challenge:
The BOMA Canada National Emergency Coronavirus Working Group met for the first time this week, and is developing resources for the industry which will be delivered as they are ready. This multidisciplinary group of volunteers is comprised of BOMA members and subject matter experts who are based across Canada.
BOMA Canada has centralized resources at www.bomacanada.ca/coronavirus and we encourage you to check that page frequently as we add new resources as they are available.
Last week’s National Emergency Coronavirus Summit was attended by at least 150 people in person, online and on the phone. We have made the full video of that available on our coronavirus webpage and it has had approximately 300 views so far.
The BOMA Canada Pandemic Planning Guide continues to be available for free in English, French and Simplified Chinese. It is also available on our coronavirus webpage and has been downloaded over 1,000 times in recent months. Please check your spam folder once you have completed the short form.
BOMA Canada is representing the commercial real estate industry on daily calls hosted by Minister Mary Ng, Minister of Small Business, Export Promotion and International Trade, (who is now in self-isolation) and her staff and is in frequent touch with officials from Public Services and Procurement Canada (formerly PWGCS) and other government departments.
Our core advice to our members is that, if you believe you have or may have a case of coronavirus in your building, immediately contact your local/provincial/territorial health authority and seek their guidance. Your Local BOMA Association may also be of assistance.
We continue to work on supporting our membership with vital resources and will be in touch as they are available and as events warrant. We urge you to follow us on LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook and Instagram to stay current as we are disseminating coronavirus content on these channels as well.
